It’s too hot in short sleeves. My folks (they li ve across the street) decided to wash their cars . Well, my mom decided my dad should wash her car. So he washed both of theirs and mine too.
Here’s a shitty photo of Ol’ Blue and new Blue. You can see how all the clear coat has peeled off the old topper. Fuck it, it was free.

The 4Runner is dusty, I’ve debated washing it as well in this nice weather. I like the 4Runner wheels on the Tundra. I’d love another 1st gen Tundra.

Looking great!
I am dying here without snow- so tempted to wash but the roads are still a mess.

Thanks! They were an impulse buy - $500 for brand new take off wheels and tires from a 2017 4Runner Trail. I couldn’t pass that up.
I like the 1st gen Tundra better than the Tacoma - just the right size and power. Tacoma is just a hair too small and hair too underpowered. Current gen Tundra - it’s huge. Half ton trucks today are too big imo - I think they should be 3/4 ton when they become this large.
1st gen Tundras are a great buy. They don’t keep their value as good as Tacomas, and $5-15000 buys you a nice truck. They are also pretty reliable - 200k+ is very common on forums.

Tons of snow in the mountains, but I’d be OK if I never saw another speck of it in Denver.

Again with the rubbing it in? I am wounded.

I bought an ‘02 new, and sold it a couple of years later when I got laid off at work. I think it’d be the perfect third vehicle/pickup to have around when the need arises, and a good vehicle when my son is old enough to drive.
I had a ‘12 Tundra CrewMax too, you’re right, it was huge!
My wife is open to new wheels/tires on the 4Runner. I don’t like the stock SR5 wheels.

Sorry dude :/
Out of curiously, what would you pay for this truck?
2000 Tundra SR5 Access Cab. Check my last post for list of stuff I just changed (front and rear Bilstein 5100s, new spark plugs, pcv valve, sway bar end links, passenger side exhaust manifold and oxygen sensor, air filter, front and rear diff fluids, transfer case fluid, transmission fluid, engine oil, new Husky liners, cleaned MAF, throttle body...)
Interior - super clean, 1/8th of an inch rip in stitching on driver seat, I’ll fix it up after I clean it up.
Exterior - as you can see, super clean for this age. Rear bumper was bumped into a post on a parking by my dad, it’s iust bent, no cracks in chrome. Tiny bit of rust behind the top of the grill, I have paint, but I think I’ll wait for spring to remove the grill to sand and spray the area, rest of the body is rust free. Topper has no clear coat, but all glass is perfect, hinges are perfect and it fits perfectly.
Frame - rust in a few places, I just used a wire wheel all over and sprayed fluid film.
132xxx miles, tires have maybe 4-5k miles, wheels are the same age.
The bad - check engine light for driver side oxygen sensor. Pain in the butt to replace. Have the sensor ready to go. One stud broken on rear driver side wheel - I have the stud, but too lazy to replace. Based on the age of the truck, it’ll probably need some work on upper and lower control arms in next 20-30k miles.
You seem the be all over when it comes to your research - what would you pay for this particular example?

Pro wheels are the only option. I’d sell my unborn child for those. They are pure sex.
Black
Or gray
Tundra is our third vehicle - wife and I both drive WRXs and we use the truck for dog transport only. It is very nifty to have. $85 to register for a year, and maybe $400 or so for insurance.

I was in Virginia for that ridiculous snowstorm last weekend and it feels so weird that it’s 60 here now.

Perfect Abarth weather :). And another week of it!

I can tell you that if it were listed on my local CL with the above description but no CEL, it would probably fetch near 8 grand.
Me, I would probably pay something near that in theory , but I would hold out and overpay for a rust-free specimen. The catch is I couldn't afford any Tundra without selling the IS.

Rust free first gen Tundra? Only if you’re buying one with a replaced frame.
$8k is about what I’ve been thinking too. I don’t think I’ll be selling it. I’ll take care of the cel in spring, when it’s much warmer and days are longer.

Oh my, now you’ve got me thinking. I just sold the TRD Pro Taco suspension that I never installed on eBay. That money is still sitting in my paypal. I could get a set of grey Pro wheels and still have some $$ left over. Hmmmmmmm.

Do it! And post photos.
